Supporting Cancer Fund for Children at BDOrox…

Richard Greenwood, Director of Verus Search, was delighted to take part in the recent BDOrox charity event, hosted by BDO Northern Ireland in support of Cancer Fund for Children.

Richard’s challenge partner was David Greatorex, Associate at Arthur Cox NI, and the pair were delighted to come away with the win. It was a competitive and thoroughly enjoyable event, although both were certainly feeling the effects of their efforts the following morning.

More importantly, BDOrox brought people from across the Northern Ireland business community together to raise awareness and support for an incredibly important cause.

Cancer Fund for Children provides vital practical and emotional support to children and young people living with cancer, as well as their families. The charity helps families navigate exceptionally difficult circumstances, ensuring they do not have to face the impact of a cancer diagnosis alone.

Events such as BDOrox demonstrate the positive impact that can be achieved when businesses and individuals come together behind a shared purpose. Alongside raising valuable funds, they provide an opportunity to increase awareness of the charity’s work and encourage others to get involved.

A particular mention must go to Lorraine Nelson, Partner at BDO who is continuing her fundraising by taking part in Rory’s Miles to Mayo Trilogy Challege, walking 9 marathons in 9 days! Verus Search wishes Lorraine every success with the challenge and her continued support of Cancer Fund for Children.

Many thanks to BDO Northern Ireland for organising such a fantastic event. It was a great opportunity for Richard and David to compete together, connect with others from across the local business community and support a brilliant cause.

While winning was certainly a welcome bonus, the real success of the event was the collective support shown for Cancer Fund for Children and the families who rely on its services.
